Ranaway from the Subscriber in the neighborhood of Indian Ridge, Currituck Ct'y[county] on the 7th inst. my negro man ABRAM, for whom I will give the above reward if delivered to me or secured in any jail so I get him, and pay all reasonable expenses. Said negro is very black, has a scar on his left thumb, thick lips, quick spoken, low and well made.
