Delaware resident William Duhamel states that he owns a fourteen-year-old slave named George, who is "at this time residing in the State of Maryland." He further reveals that he "has use for the services of said boy." Duhamel therefore prays "that the legislature would pass a law authorising your petitioner to remove said boy into the State of Delaware."
