Abstract

Ellis Palmer represents that "during the last summer a negroe woman named Anaca the property of your petitioner was tried and convicted ... of murdering her two children, both the property of the said petitioner, and for which she was subsequently executed." Palmer therefore prays that he be granted "such relief as to you in your wisdom may seem meet, as he owned but five slaves, three of which and they the most valuable by the above named circumstances he has lossed."
