Abstract
Dr. Edward B. Hibbler represents that "a negro man of your petitioner was condemned to be executed; and your petitioner further sheweth that the sentence of the Court has been carryed into effect." He therefore prays "to be paid the Sum usually allowed in such cases." Hibbler's slave Hampton was convicted and executed for "committing a rape."
