Harriet H. Gibson seeks a divorce from her husband, Henry Gibson, on the grounds that he neglected his business, "cohabited with Other Women," and forced her from the house; shortly thereafter, Henry "removed to the State of Kentucky with all his (Negroes Ten in number) his Horses &C in which he has Resided about twelve months & Still continues there." The petitioner reports that her husband "has been frequently herd to say that he would never live with me again as a wife."
