Abstract
South Carolina resident James Chestnut Jr., trustee of the slave property of Martha Moore and her minor children, requests that a resident of Alabama be appointed in his place. Moore and her children "own and are entitled to a perfect equity title in and to certain negro slaves" granted by a deed of trust from William C. Moore to James Chestnut Jr.
