Eli S. Shorter, administrator of the estate of Joseph Dickson, deceased, reports that he has not filed a final report because a large number of the notes given for the hire of slaves in 1854 have not yet been paid. If the notes for the sale of slaves due in January 1856 are paid on time, he will make a final return for settlement and distribution of property at that time. Shorter requests that his interim report be made part of the court minutes.
