James Robinson, administrator of the estate of George Eason, seeks to sell Hannah, a dark mulatto who "is afflicted with a certain disease called 'prolapsus uteri' [falling of the womb] and is thereby so depreciated in value that your Petitioner is of opinion that it would be of advantage to said Estate to sell said negro for the highest price that Can be obtained." He therefore prays that he be authorized to sell Hannah "at private sale for such amount as can be had for her in her present condition."
