Abstract

Evan Thomas sold the remainder of the term of servitude of eleven-year-old term slave Peter and nine-year-old term slave Perry to Outerbridge Horsey, who, although a resident of Delaware, plans to work the two brothers on his farm in Maryland. Thomas seeks permission to export the slaves, who "are to serve until they respectively attain the age of twenty five years."
