- Salutation: To the Honorable James Booth John Way Jacob Stout Esqrs Judges of the Court of Common Pleas and quarter Sessions of the peace
Abstract
Residents of New Castle County complain that Benjamin Caulk's slave John Miller is corrupting the morals and filling the minds of young slaves "with every kind of deception and fraud, such as opening houses, stealing, runing away &c." They ask that Caulk be permitted to dispose of Miller "to any person who will carry him entirely out of the State, that society may rid of such a pest."
