Abstract
Benjamin Hazel seeks permission to export and sell his slaves Margaret and Rose Carter, mother and daughter, who ran away on separate occasions. He expended $125 securing them in the New Castle County jail. Hazel charges that Margaret now threatens to destroy his property and that "he has good cause to fear that the bad principles of the said slaves will induce them to put such threats into execution."
