William Medill, administrator of the estate of William Peery, asks the court to extend the period of servitude for Elijah Denney, a black man who ran away from the late Peery. He states that he and his intestate "incurred considerable expence in endeavouring to retake the said Servant." Having "recently found the said Elijah," Medill notes that his said term of servitude has expired. He therefore prays that Denney "be decreed to make satisfaction by servitude for the time of his service that was unexpired when he absconded."
