Abstract
John P. Lockey represents that the late Edwin Whitehead "was the duly qualified Guardian of Richard Shackleford a person of unsound mind." He points out that "there has been no guardian appointed by the Court for the said Shackleford," who owns "a number of slaves and other evidences of debt due him amounting to a Considerable Sum." Lockey therefore prays that he be granted "letters of Guardianship of the person and property of the said Shackelford."
