Abstract

Jane Pyles, widow of Thomas W. Pyles, states that she is entitled to lands and slaves from her husband's estate, "amounting in value to eighteen thousands dollars." She therefore prays that the court may appoint "five fit and proper persons to sett off and lay out her Said Dower in the Real and personal estate of Said deceased."
