George W. Call sues William and Abigail Fontane for payment for his "services as their physician and necessary medicines rendered to [them] ... and to their children and to the slaves of each of them." The Fontanes agreed to pay their bill, he says, but they "absconded, secretly removing from this state" before the money could be collected. Call explains that Abigail Fontane is entitled to certain funds as a result of her brother's death, and this money is being held for the defendant. The petitioner desires that his bill be paid from this fund.
