Asa May and his wife, Margaret May, ask the court to settle and divide the estate of Richard B. Cole and Caroline Cole, deceased. The plaintiffs aver that Margaret is the daughter of the late Caroline Cole and her first husband, Alexander R. Murray, and that following his death, Caroline married Richard B. Cole. They assert that Caroline's father created a trust "for the use of said Caroline" which included certain slaves and their increases, to which they are exclusively entitled. They further claim rights to the estate of Alexander R. Murray, and state that a division of the estate of Caroline Cole should be shared by the heirs of Richard B. Cole and the plaintiffs.
