Philip Dell, executor of the last will and testament of Bennet M. Dell, requests an order for the distribution of the slaves in the estate. Dell recounts that his said testator devised certain slaves to his widow and that “since Eliza D Dell has since died, the said Negro property in Consequence thereof and by virtue of said Will” reverts to the heirs of said Bennet M. Dell. Stating that "it is desirable, and would be beneficial" to divide the slaves among the heirs who are entitled to them, the petitioner "prays your honor to grant an order for the distribution of the same."
