Abstract
Samuel Holliman inherited a male slave named Orange from his father, David Holliman. He claims, however, that Peter Strozer "wickedly and fraudulently forceably took the Negroe Boy into his Possession" and converted him for his own use. Holliman asks that Strozer return the slave to him and pay damages of $1,000 or compensate him for the slave's value plus damages.
Result: Appealed.
