Abstract
Basil Lamar explains that he "casually lost out of his Custody" a slave named Hannah valued at $300. He claims that Hannah was found in the possession of James Fox who, well knowing that she belongs to him, proceeded to "convert and dispose" of her "to his own use." Lamar estimates he has incurred damages amounting to $600. He asks the court's intervention on his behalf.
