Abstract
William Brewer was the owner of five slaves, collectively valued at $1,000, whom he lost in 1804. The slaves came into the possession of Milner Echols. Brewer alleges that Echols knew that the slaves belonged to him, but "converted them to his own use to the damage of your petitioner three thousand dollars."
Result: Dismissed.
