Abstract
Asa Thompson claims that he was the owner of three slaves, Kitty, Jenny, and a boy child, with a value of $1,000, collectively. Thompson contends that he "casually lost" the three slaves, who came into the possession of Garland Ellington. Thompson alleges that, although Garland knew the slaves belonged to him, "he converted and disposed of Said negroes to his own use," with intent to defraud him Thompson sues for $2,000 in damages.
Result: Denied.
