Abstract
Anna Snell alleges that Stephen Roach owes her $43.50 for the hire of a slave named Alec. Alec worked "fifty eight days" for Roach as a "boat hand," and the agreed-upon rate was seventy-five cents per day. Snell claims that Roach has not honored this financial obligation. She asks that Roach be compelled to appear at the next Superior Court session to answer her suit.
