Abstract
Jeptha Harris, as administrator of the estate of William Woods, alleges that Zachariah Bowman and Reuben Haley owe him fifty-two dollars, plus interest, "for the hire of a negro fellow James." Harris further states that Bowman and Haley "obliged themselves to furnish Said boy James with two good Suits of new clothes ... one pair of good Strong Shoes one Duffle Blanket of good size one new hat" as well as pay the taxes due on James. Contending that they have not honored any of these obligations, Harris sues for $100 in damages.
