- Wilkes County, Georgia. cicra 1829. - August 25, 1830.
- Court: Chancery
- Salutation: To the Honorable William H. Crawford Judge of the Northern Circuit in Chancery presiding
Abstract
Heirs of Pleasant Wilkinson, who died intestate, ask the court for a proper distribution of the estate. Francis Wilkinson serves as administrator. The petitioners aver that the estate consists of "fifteen negroes at the value of four thousand Dollars or Some other large Sums, of Land of the Value of five thousand Dollars or Some other large Sum" and sundry other property. They further assert that Wilkinson has been selling off said property and hiring out the slaves, earning large sums of money which he has not distributed among the heirs. The petitioners ask the court to have Wilkinson inventory the estate and arrive at a fair settlement with them.
