- Jones County, Georgia. October 1831. - circa April 1832.
- Court: Superior
- Salutation: To the honorable L. Q. C. Lamar Judge of the Superior Court of said county and holding equity jurisdiction therein
Abstract
Mary T. McMath asks the court for an injunction to restrain her husband, William McMath, from disposing of real and personal property. At a previous session of the court, she was granted "a partial divorce ... that is to say from bed and board and "was entitled to receive one half of the property both real and personal which the defendant may now be possessed of in his own right." William, however, "refuses to exhibit and render a fair and true schedule of his just debts and of all his property." Mary asks the court to force an inventory and restrain him from disposing of property in the interim.
