Abstract
Martha Dixon and Thomas Dixon, guardians of Virgil, Sarah, George, and Marcus Dixon, state that the said Thomas Dixon and the said wards owned seven slaves valued at $5,000, collectively. The petitioners state that they "casually lost" the slaves, who are now in the possession of Richard J. Willis. They aver that Willis has refused to deliver the slaves to the petitioners and they seek $5,000 for damages.
