Abstract

John Dean states that he "casually lost" George, a "Negro Boy Slave" eleven years of age. Dean avers that George was worth $700 with a yearly value of $30. The petitioner asserts that George is now in the possession of Jefferson Southerland, who refuses to deliver the slave to Dean. He sues for $1,000 in damages.
