Abstract

Franklin Robertson, through his next friend, John Robertson, states that he was induced by Daniel Morrison to purchase a nineteen-year-old slave, Henry, at a public auction for $665. The petitioner asserts that the slave is, and was at the time of the sale, "sick diseased subject to fits and incapable of rendering any services." He charges Daniel Morrison with fraud and seeks $1,200 in damages.
