Abstract
Cincinatus Smith states that he "casually lost" twenty-three slaves, of varying ages and values and that said slaves are now in the possession of Hiram Warner, who refuses to return them to Smith. Smith seeks $10,000 in damages. [The petitioner estimates the value of ten slave children, "names unknown," as being $2100.]
