Walter Harris and Robert Beal were named co-executors of the estate of James Beal, a slave owner. Harris and Beal also became trustees of James's grandchildren, and a large sum of money came into the hands of the trustees for their wards. Harris and Beal agreed that Harris would hold the money and that he would give Beal a note for the amount as evidence of the transaction. Now Robert Beal has died and Nathan H. Beal, his administrator, has come into the possession of the note and has sued for recovery of the money. Harris asks for a writ of injunction stopping the proceedings against him.
