Abstract
Caroline Fuller states that the last will and testament of her father, John Lucas, bequeathed to her a portion of his slaves and their issue and any money earned from their hire. This property was conveyed in trust to Mary Lucas, now deceased, Pleasant Stovall, and Nathan Sayre. After her father's death, Fuller moved to Alabama with her husband, who is also now deceased. She seeks permission for the executors of Lucas's estate to apply any money earned from her share of the slaves, thirty-eight in number, to a purchase of land in Alabama.
