Petition #20684708
- Richmond County, Georgia. October 20, 1847. - circa 1850.
- Court: Superior
- Salutation: To the Honorable, William W. Holt Judge of the Superior Courts of the Middle District in said state, holding Jurisdiction in Equity
Abstract
John McDade avers that Amandah McDade, administrator of the estate of John McDade Sr., has filed a petition for the final distribution of the estate based on what the petitioner believes is a falsified account. The petitioner asserts that the inventory and appraisal, which was filed by his brother Amandah, does not include property held by the said Amandah McDade, three slaves in the possession of Little Berry McDade, and four slaves in the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner seeks an injunction preventing a final distribution of the estate until a proper inventory can be taken.
Result: Granted; reversed.
