Benjamin Bethel, trustee for Charity A. Farr, Mary A. Rose, Laura Turnbull, Elizabeth Turnbull, and another, unnamed individual, claims that Joseph R. Turnbull "hath damaged your petitioner in the Sum of Five Thousand Dollars." Bethel explains that five slaves in the trust, were "casually lost" by him and are now in the possession of Joseph Turnbull. Bethel asks that Turnbull be summoned to court to account for the slaves and pay the damages.
