Abstract
William B. Jordan and Stephen R. Smith claim that Jordan's mother, Sarah Jordan, is "laboring under mental imbecility." They further claim that she is no longer able to manage her property which includes six negroes, "the youngest of whom is now about fourteen years of age." They seek the appointment of a guardian for Sarah Jordan.
