W. B. W. Dent bequeathed two slaves to his wife, Eliza Dent. The executors of his will, Joseph and John Dent, seek permission to sell the slaves. These slaves, "Josiah a man now forty years old of dark complexion & Henry now a man of dark complexion and about thirty five years of age," have become "disobedient and unmanageable & profitless."
