Susannah Hendrick claims that she has been "insulted and abused most unfeelingly" by her husband Daniel. She believes that the reason for his abuse arises from her having conveyed her two slaves to her four children prior to their marriage and without his knowledge. Further, he is preparing to move to the Missouri Territory and planning on selling other property which she brought to their marriage, leaving her "in a most dependant condition without any thing to support herself with." She asks the court to issue writs of subpoena and ne exeat, preventing Daniel from selling the property, and to order him to pay her alimony.
