Petition #20781709

Abstract

Dorcas Neal, the widow of Benjamin Neal, considered the provisions for her in his will to be inadequate, and so "renounced all and every part of the provisions made for her in said will" in the Harrison County Court at its 1817 December term. She now claims "the one third part of all the estate both real and personal of which said Benjamin died seized and possessed" and wishes his heirs and the executors of his estate to be "compelled to account with her for the one third part of the whole."
