Oliver Waggoner hired four slaves from John Henderson at the price of eighty dollars each. Waggoner expressed reservations about their size and fitness for labor in his iron works, but claims Henderson assured him they were capable. Waggoner has, however, "found them wholly unfit and unable to do scarcely anything necessary & wanting about his ironworks." Waggoner has commenced suit on the law side of the court against Henderson for the fraud committed, and he asks this court to subpoena Henderson and compel him to "state the facts as they took place at the time of the hiring afsd."
