William Tucker, a free man of color, claims that George Tucker, also a free man of color, owes him $1500. William allowed George three months in which no interest would accrue on said debt, provided George would mortgage all his property in Lexington to William. George did so, but neglected to date it "with the fraudulent intent that the said deed should be rendered invalid as against the creditors & subsequent purchases of the said deft." George has left Kentucky, and William asks the court to uphold the mortgage and to consider George's property in Lexington subject to his debt to William.
