Abstract

Daniel Steel states that twelve-year-old James "was bound to him by the Floyd County Court ... as a free boy of Couller" until he reached the age of twenty-one. Steel charges that William McReynolds and Drewry B. Brown "illegely took the Siaid boy out of his posesion and detanes him as a Slave." Steel seeks damages in the amount of $300.
