Abstract
The Attorney General, F. X. Martin, petitions on behalf of the State of Louisiana to detain and sell a slave named Harry. According to Martin, Harry was "unlawfully imported into this State ... on board the Schooner Constance." Martin "prays that a writ may issue directing the Sheriff to seize and detain said negro slave."
