Abstract
The Attorney General, F. X. Martin, petitions on behalf of the State of Louisiana to detain and sell three slaves. According to the petition, Antoine, Gerome, and Venture "were imported in to this state illegally & contrary to Law on or about the first of Jany 1813 from the coast of Africa a foreign country." Martin prays that the slaves "may be seized."
