Abstract
Charles Ménard and Thereze Robertine Ménard, free people of color, ask the court to order posting of the emancipation notices required by the law to free their eighty-year-old slave named Genevieve, a native of Saint Domingue. The Ménards vouch that Genevieve has been in their service for a long period of time, has behaved well, and has never run away [Original in French; Docket in English].
