Abstract
François Péron, a free man of color, acting as the representative for his aunt, Françoise Lilavoix, asks the court to order the legal notices for the emancipation of Lilavoix's thirty-year-old male slave named Joseph Jonguy, a Creole from Saint Domingue. Péron vouches that Joseph's conduct has always been above reproach and that he has never tried to run away [Original in French].
