In March of the previous year, Pitre sold and delivered a female slave to Simien, for which sale Simien had written a $606 promissory note, payable the following March. The note is now past due and Simien refuses to pay, although often demanded to do so. Pitre therefore prays that Marie Simien be cited and condemned to pay the debt plus interest and costs of the suit.
<subjects><subject>Enslaver (FPOC)</subject></subjects></petition>
