Martin and Auguste Donatto, free men of color, bring action against Mamé Jany for failure to repay a debt. The Donattos write that they ginned cotton for Jany for which they were to have received $86.47, and one half cent, in payment. This amount is still outstanding and they ask the court to compel payment.
