Abstract
Antoine Abat and Jean Jacques Tournade file a petition of appeal in the suit Marie Louise Bernardine vs. Joseph Guillaume Lespinasse in which the court ordered Bernardine to be emancipated. Abat and Tournade were called "in warranty" and fear that the court ruling, "may react on your petitioners." Advised that there is "error in the said Judgment," the petitioners pray for an appeal to the Supreme Court. The related Supreme Court Opinion provides a detailed history of Marie Louise Bernardine's life.
