Abstract
Maurice Pizzetta, testamentary executor of the late Jean Baptiste Doublet, presents to the court that he has obtained the consent of the police jury to emancipate a female estate slave named Franny, also known as Vine. Pizzetta asks the court to "authorize the sheriff to post up the usual notices required by law in such cases."
