William W. Rose seeks compensation for breaking and entering the house where he and his family resides. Rose claims that on 10 January 1843, John N. Wilson, an emancipated minor "having with him Negroes" illegally entered the Rose house and with "force and violence did break the inner doors." At the time, Rose's wife "was in a delicate and critical situation and in consequence of the fear arising from the violent and illegal conduct of said Wilson, she has since miscarried." Rose prays for $1,000 in damages.
