Abstract

Augustin P. Metoyer, a free man of color, seeks to recover a debt of $489.23 plus interest, at the rate of 8% per annum, from Suzette Metoyer, a free woman of color and the widow of the late Jean Baptiste Louis Metoyer. The debt is due against a promissory note executed on the 19th of July 1854 and payable on the 1st of April 1855. Augustin Metoyer prays for a judgment against Suzette Metoyer for the sum and interest owed to him [Some text in French].
